My Before 30 Bucket List

Lifestyle, Travel, Travel Tips

I decided to make a new bucket list starting on my 26th birthday, not just for things to accomplish in my 26th year, but for things to accomplish before I turn 30. Four years is a pretty good length of time to reach both some hard and some easy goals.

I didn’t try to make a list like most of the “30 before 30” bucket lists out there. They all say the same thing: a few travel destinations, get married, adopt a pet, etc.

There’s no way to know the direction of my life for the next four years. So instead of trying to make things happen, I just decided to choose a few places I’ve always wanted to go and work in the trips around whatever happens if my life. Hopefully I’ll be able to visit most of them!

One tip I have for making a bucket list is to put something on the list that you probably won’t accomplish or that would be really hard to do. This isn’t to make you disappointed in yourself if you don’t complete the list. The point is to push yourself to complete the goals no matter how difficult they may be. So dream big!

I chose several places in the US that I’ve always wanted to visit. There are also 4 foreign countries on the list, one for each year before I turn 30. I didn’t bother with writing down 30 places. The whole “30 before 30” thing is cute, but I’ll figure out where else I want to go after I complete what I’ve already written down.
